The Food Institute of Malaysia (FIM) places strong emphasis on balanced nutrition as part of its academic syllabus. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of nutrition through subjects such as Introduction to Food Hygiene and Sanitation in the first semester and Introduction to Nutrition in the fourth semester, which help them understand the importance of a balanced diet and proper food hygiene.

In the world of sports, disciplined eating habits particularly a well-balanced breakfast are among the key factors behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s ability to maintain peak performance at the age of 41.

The Portugal captain, who currently plays for Al Nassr, continues to compete at the highest level of world football, driven by a strict daily routine that prioritises nutrition, training, rest, and hydration.
For Ronaldo, breakfast plays a crucial role in sustaining energy levels and supporting muscle maintenance.

Avocado is a staple in his morning diet, valued for its healthy fats that provide long-lasting energy, promote satiety, and support heart health.
He also has a cup of coffee and eggs as part of his morning routine. Coffee provides antioxidants that help boost energy levels, while eggs deliver high-quality protein essential for muscle growth and recovery.

According to his former personal chef during his Juventus days, Giorgio Barone, Ronaldo follows a strict dietary regime that avoids refined sugar, dairy products, bread, and processed foods.
Instead, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner consumes five to six small meals a day, with a strong focus on high-protein foods.

His daily diet typically includes fish, chicken, beef, eggs, avocado, rice and coconut oil.
For lunch, he opts for a combination of vegetables with chicken, fish, or beef, supplying protein, fibre, vitamins, and minerals needed to sustain elite performance on the pitch.

Dinner follows a similar structure, with different protein sources to ensure dietary balance throughout the day.
This approach to nutrition aligns closely with principles taught in culinary and food studies at FIM. The discipline reflected in Ronaldo’s routine continues to serve as a source of inspiration for students and sports enthusiasts alike.

As evidence of his illustrious career, Ronaldo has won numerous titles at both club and international level with Portugal.
He is also closing in on another milestone, approaching 1,000 career professional goals.

Ronaldo has previously stated that he intends to continue playing as long as his body remains fit enough to compete at the highest level.
