The Food Institute of Malaysia (FIM) has introduced the Tajaan Sijil Hospitaliti (TSH) as a special initiative to provide opportunities for the asnaf community to gain deeper knowledge in the culinary field.

This program focuses on skills training to obtain competency certificates in culinary arts and food services, where students will undergo both theoretical and practical learning at FIM for six months, including industrial training.

Through this approach, students not only learn the basics of cooking and food preparation techniques, but are also exposed to a more professional and structured learning environment.

This sponsorship initiative is implemented with the support of PNB’s Syariah Management Department through the Selangor Zakat Board, specifically to help students from the asnaf group pursue studies in skills-based education without worrying about financial burdens.

Throughout the study period, the sponsorship covers tuition fees, accommodation, as well as food and beverages.

In addition, students will also receive various other facilities such as aprons, training materials, and necessities throughout the learning and training sessions.

As added value for their career preparation, students will also be provided with a Food Handler Training Certificate recognized by the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM), Typhoid vaccination, and opportunities for industrial training placement.

This program provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in the hospitality field in a more structured manner at FIM, while strengthening their educational foundation in the culinary world.
